Proposed District Boundaries

Use the dropdown menus below to determine whether an address falls within the proposed BID boundaries.

What Will I Pay?

If approved, BID programs and services will be funded through a special assessment paid by property owners within the district. Assessment amounts are calculated individually and vary by property. The assessment formula is based on each property’s assessed value, as determined by the NYC Department of Finance.

All eligible commercial and residential properties within the BID boundaries would be assessed at an approximate rate of $0.001444 per dollar of assessed value of a given parcel (as determined by the NYC Department of Finance). For example, a property with an assessed value of $500,000 would pay approximately $722 per year ($60/month).

Co-op Buildings: The co-op corporation is assessed as a single property, and the co-op board pays the assessment on behalf of the building as part of its operating expenses. The assessment will then be proportionately distributed among all tenant-shareholders based on the number of shares allocated to their individual apartments.

Residential Tenants: If you rent your home, you will not pay a BID fee. By law, landlords cannot charge residential tenants for BID assessments.
